KL Rahul has revealed that his 2019 Koffee with Karan appearance had a lasting impact on him.
The controversy from his comments, along with Hardik Pandya, led to intense criticism and a suspension from the Indian cricket team, forcing them to return from Australia early.
In a podcast with Nikhil Kamath, Rahul described the experience as deeply scarring, saying it changed him significantly.
He noted that handling such backlash was a new and difficult experience for him, having never faced similar situations before.
Currently, Rahul is focusing on the Duleep Trophy 2024 season, aiming to secure a spot in the Indian Test squad for the Bangladesh series.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami, who was also expected to return for the Bangladesh series, might only be fit for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia.
